Tips for
First Timers...
A to D:- We look after you from Arrival to Departure (at the agreed pickup & drop-off points)!
A to Z:- You choose as much Adventure & Action as you wish
or maximise your relaxation at camp enjoying our amaZing views!
Our Lodge: MVCC Manyara Valley Culture Camp You!
picks you up with our FREE shuttle service at either Kilimanjaro International Airport or in Arusha Town (which you can reach by bus from Nairobi or Dar Airports).  You tell us when and where you are arriving and someone will be waiting for you! We confirm that to you a week or so before your holiday. You can change the details at any time.
Our ecologically sustainable Lodge (solar power, rainwater harvesting, modern sanitation and bottled mineral water) provides en-suite rooms with large, palm thatched terraces. Sleep safely at night, but before you do try sitting out on your terrace watching the stars and listening to the bush! We have at least 3 traditional song and dance evenings but our strict house rules will ensure a quiet and peaceful camp from 11:30 as some safaris begin with an earlyish breakfast!
as part of the all inclusive package the MVCC offers two full day Game Drives in one of three world renowned National Parks. You just have to sit back in our Safari Landrovers and enjoy them - bring some binoculars!
as part of the all inclusive package the MVCC offers two full day Culture Safaris, in traditional Maasai Bomas (villages) and Markets. Further culture trips include other tribes: Mbulu, Chagga and more to come! You just have to sit back in our Safari Landrovers and/or walk with guides - its your choice. You will be overwhelmingly welcomed either way!
You have two more full days to do WHATEVER YOU WANT! see the next 3 rows in this table for ideas...
if you are looking for relaxation, peace and quiet and beautiful scenery... Then you can: just relax in the camp, on your own private terrace, or at our bar/lounge area with panoramic views. Read (we have two libraries), drink local coffee or fruit juices, play traditional African table games (or draughts, chess, dominoes etc). And just ask someone f you want to go for a gentle walk on the Huduma Plateau - a local guide (mandatory) will be available at all times!
if you want a mixture of relaxation and some exercise then choose just some of the things in the above line and mix as you wish with guided tours. all walks are guided no matter if they are simple and gentle strolls or hefty alpine trekking. You can go birdwatching  on the plateau (Kanuthi is our expert, and Samson will be the next!), down and back up the escarpment - or just down and we will pick you up at Mto Wa Mbu - bring your mobile phone (can be charged on camp) and a quick text message will get a Landrover to you whilst you drink a cola, fruit juice or even a local beer!
If you have a taste for adventure and demanding exercise there are many treks and climbs into the bush, up mountains and volcanoes. These walking safaris are always led by two Maasai Warriors in their traditional dress and with their unmistakable spears and sticks. These safaris are not for the physically tired, nor for those who are not adventurous. On arrival Kanuthi or another senior member of staff will consult you on the week's packaged safaris. On the remaining two days if you choose to use our guides to seek adventure there may be an additional charge - not if you are just walking down to Mto Wa Mbu and get picked up on the way back, but if you require a longer transportation (beyond Mto Wa Mbu district). These charges will be easily agreed as there is no profit involved. You have paid for your holiday and will only be charged petrol costs etc. See our terms and conditions.
Unfortunately at some time you will have to go home! We bet that you will miss the MVCC Team as much as the rest of Tanzania - because we have made you feel at Home in Afica! At least you have nothing to worry about. Our shuttle will take you to the agreed drop off point (usually Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Town) and if you have enough time then you just ask the driver to stop on the way to shop, eat or whatever! But please follow the driver's guidelines on how long you need to arrive safely at your destination.
